Tasha Phelps

CEO

Phelco

Tasha Phelps has over a decade of experience in using technology to manage information. Her degree from Indiana University positioned her for a successful career in business with a strong emphasis in marketing and distribution. When beginning her business, the focus was to find innovative technological solutions for things that seemed to be the norm (such as online directories and databases). She's quick to tell you that proper management of data is critical to the quality of that data and the success of its utilization. At the core, she believes it's all about strategy. This type of focus afforded Phelco teaming opportunities on the Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis, IN) and on nearly ? dozen State contracts. All of them take advantage of the lessons learned in data and project management. Strategic integration of technology is often overlooked, but when a company like Phelco Technologies solves business problems with a technological application, the outcome is quite powerful. Because Ms. Phelps is not afraid to share what she knows, she is willing to stop and answer questions about her vision for the evolution of technology. She has not only trained elementary school educators, but also elementary school principals on an appropriate and efficient use of technology. Her focus has been ? and continues to be ? proper techniques for information management to develop quality strategies for business growth. As adjunct faculty to Indiana University - Kokomo, she continues to educate students about the strategic applications for technology in the 21st Century. In service to her community, Ms. Phelps is a frequented speaker with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program - assisting youth with goal setting. Her involvement in other community and civic organizations such as CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), Save the Youth, Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation, and Multiple Sclerosis Society, have allowed her to satisfy both her urge for success and her passion for her community. Ms. Phelps has been recognized in the 2005-2006 and the 2006 ? 2007 editions of Who's Who in Black Indianapolis and will be featured in the 2007 edition of the IBJ's 40 Under 40.
